I'm beginning this blog for a number of reasons. First, I have been reading "Foundations of Christian Doctrine" by Kevin J. Conner and I've wanted a "platform" of sorts to write out my thoughts and conclusions on this book. Second, I wanted a blog as a companion to my other blog "Talking to God" (a private blog of mine on various conversations I have with God). Another reason is to try to be more consistent with my reading and studies in the Word, to be more thoughtful and meditative for a deeper understanding of who God is and how I fit into His family.
Having been a Christian for a number of years now, it seems that the more I study and the more I learn, it's not near what I don't know yet about God, His Son or the Scriptures.
I guess the one thing that I have learned in life is that God is the only one I can rely on, believe in, depend on. No matter what happens to me - good, bad or ugly - in this physical realm, I know that God will be right there to take care of me in the spiritual realm. A perfect care from an Infallible God.
People are fallible - imperfect. Even though some of us don't intend to be hurtful, mean or ugly to others (and I have found, more often than not, that people do intend to be that way), we are that way.
So, my desire with this blog is to culminate in a closer relationship with God, the only one in either the physical or spiritual realm I can truly depend on.
I will be creating a new facebook page to coincide with this blog, also.
